Port Solent Marina, Portsmouth

While Managing Director of Arlington Securities Plc’s leisure interests Jonathan Rounce served as Chairman of Port Solent, a major new marina development that was built by Arlington on a major landfill site at the top of North Harbour, Portsmouth.

Occupying an area of some 94 acres the development included a significant marina, extensive housing, apartments, commercial offices, marina business units, a comprehensive retail Boardwalk and a wide range of associated leisure activities.

This provided Jonathan with a detailed understanding of marina operations and the potential for developing major new boating-based businesses on the south coast of England and further afield.
